Here we are a year later, with new software, more knowledge and experience and more excited to now taking photos of my subjects, edit them with not only typical small edits such as contrast, lighting, and cropping the photos, but to add fun doses of color, borders, and even change from Black and White, to Sepia, Focal Black and Whites and Soft Focus as some typical editing options.
Now I am even able to do more and am so excited to see these pictures really come to life, and watch my photography abilities and business grow and become more than I ever thought possible. I hope you enjoy this posting, with just some options for editing that will show how we can really have fun with your photos, or if you want simple we can just point, shoot, and print.
Here are a few of the photo options given to a High School Senior for her Senior Photo Shoot...
Original Photo from Shoot No Edits |
Special Edit of Boost (Boosting color and Light) and Adding a Vignette around the edges |
Changed the Photo to Black and White |
This was the original Photo, no edits cropped down to size |
Edited light and bit of color, but added a vignette for final print |
Many People like Sepia, this is similar, Only I like the tones and color better, I edited in Black and White then Warmified the photo, to get this shade of sepia with high shadows. |
As you can tell, there is a lot of simple edits here, but editing is time consuming, it isn't just about clicking the button and your are done, you have to make sure the light, shadows, color, composition, sharpness, and tones and highlights are just right. It is a sort of craftsmanship that takes time and a careful eye, but is a lot of fun!
Additional Special Edits Available to All!
This is a new editing option for me called Lomoish, it boosts the white light, and some color, then gives a black shading around the outside of the photo. |
We love to have fun, make these photos memorable and give you a sense of style, whether you have a large budget for your families photo session or a small budget.
We want all our customers, to feel like friends and family, and that we cater to all!
That's the Photo Memories by J.C. Way!
As I stated eariler Sepia is a special edit that is requested often, seen here |
Adding Name and Graduation date to a senior portrait is a special edit many parents like for a special memory on a photo or two |
Pencil Sketches is a fun edit option, and made a nice gift for this senior |
Another option is the soft focus which focuses on subject and then blurs the around the subject then I added a Vignette, for more emphasis. |
